Kidron dentist receives AGD Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition
The Academy of General Dentistry is pleased to announce that Myriam Raber, DDS, MAGD, of Kidron, Ohio, received the association’s Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition during the AGD 2016 annual meeting, which took place July 14-17 in Boston.
The Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition is a formal recognition for AGD Masters in the areas of continuing education, dental-related community service and service to organized dentistry. To earn this recognition, Dr. Raber completed at least 100 hours of dental-related community/volunteer service and 500 credits in course attendance, teaching or publications since the date of Mastership was received.
Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition recipients set a higher standard that all general dentists are encouraged to emulate. Dr. Raber joins less than 300 members who have received this recognition since 2004. This recognition was created to acknowledge the achievements of those AGD Masters who clearly recognize the professional obligation to remain current in their profession and to create an example so that each member of the dental profession never loses sight of this obligation. Achieving LLSR from the AGD tells colleagues and patients of Dr. Raber’s continued commitment to lifelong learning and quality patient care.
Dr. Raber graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1992 and currently practices dentistry in Kidron and Holmesville. She also volunteers at the Viola Startzman Free Clinic in Wooster. She and her husband Philip, optometrist in Kidron, have four children: Chloe, Emilie, Gabriel and Alexandra.
The AGD is a professional association of 41,000 general dentists dedicated to providing quality dental care and oral health education to the public. AGD members stay up to date in their profession through a commitment to continuing education.
